At Blue Flower Farm, the name holds a special significance rooted in the story of its owners, Sam and Linda. During their college days, Sam would often surprise Linda by leaving wild cornflowers on her car windshield, a gesture that became a cherished memory over the years.

The blue cornflower symbolizes hope in love, fidelity, and reliability—qualities that reflect their 30 years of marriage. Both hailing from Hickory, NC, Sam is now self-employed, while Linda retired early in 2024 after 33 years in the IT field at Corning Cable Systems.

Sam and Linda purchased the farm as a weekend fixer upper in 2016. Now, Linda will focus full time on growing the business.
